GMA' anchor Robin Roberts on 20-year anniversary: 'I am so blessed'

     Robin Roberts, famous news anchor for CBS's  "Good Morning America" shares her knowledge with us on this weeks masterclass course. Roberts begins with her self introduction and reasoning for her wanting to share her experience. She repeats the phrase "make your mess your message". Roberts explains why the phrase is so meaningful to her. Her mother told her while she had breast cancer to use her platform and spread the her message not only for herself but for the millions of people affected by cancer. She used her own mess to help spread awareness, kindness and concern. Throughout her course, Roberts continues to emphasis key factors in being a successful communicator. We need to be conferrable being vulnerable, and look for authenticity in our connections and relationships. She also gives tips and examples of how to be a better public speaker. Roberts dives into her own world by also explaining how talking to a person on TV is different than conversing without an audience. She finished her masterclass with a plea to stay optimistic and resilient.

George Stephanopoulas- Purposeful Communication             George Stephanopoulas is a very famous and successful interview who will be teaching our masterclass this week. He is extremely proficient at starting and maintaining a meaning full and authentic conversation no matter how hard. His goal was to use examples from his own experience in order to teach viewers how to communicate effectively. George talks about how to battle nerves and how important preparation is. He explains that his first job as an intern was t the White House. He continually emphasizes how important it is to listen and underestand each point that his interviewe makes. Listening is the most important part of communication. With preparation and understanding come the most authentic conversations.  Campaign Strategy and Messaging  This week on Masterclass put topic was campaign strategy and messaging taught by positions David Axelrod and Karl Rove. To many people surprise, the two friends are on opposite sides of the political spectrum but show respect towards one another and listen to their ideas. Though they don't agree on important topics, I think it is smart that they don't demonize the other side just because of their political beliefs. They explained that to start an efficient campaign it is important to know who will view for you and who definitely won't. Every election, there are a vast population of voters who are up for grabs. It is important to express to voters why you are running. If your reason is relevant to voters your campaign will be better than an opponent whose is not.
